Mrs. Grieves has been a counselor at Wamego Middle School since 2011. Prior to moving to WMS, Mrs. Grieves was an 8th grade Language Arts teacher and then high school counselor. Mrs. Grieves earned her undergraduate degree from K-State in Secondary Education with licensure in English and Journalism. While teaching 8th grade in Shawnee, KS, she went back to school to earn her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Emporia State University.
"I was led to a career in counseling as I watched students in my classroom struggle to focus on their academics as they navigated all of the personal and social pressures they were dealing with. I am passionate about supporting students personally, socially and academically so that they may be as successful as they can be in school and in life."
Mr. Stratton has been a counselor at Wamego Middle School since 2016. He also serves as the WMS Gifted Facilitator which he has done for 15 years. Prior to teaching and counseling at WMS, Mr. Stratton taught 8th grade in Topeka.
